Job Title: Saw Operator/Warehouseman
Established in 1987, Triad Metals International is a privately held, independent company that has grown to become one of the premier distributors of structural steel, tubing, piling, and plate products. We are looking to hire a Saw Operator to join our team here in Pittsburgh!
Successful Candidates will be expected to:
• Use a saw machine to cut metal
• Perform preventative maintenance for the saw
• Move and relocate different-sized metal
• Band material in accordance with banding procedures
• Responsible for cleaning up work areas
• Conduct a shift turnover with outgoing and incoming operators
• Safety load trailers for shipment
• Perform heavy lifting and the ability to safely use power tools
• Maintain and update job knowledge through participation in the company’s educational program, if available; and through reading related technical papers and publications
Qualifications/Required Experience
• Knowledge of all types and brands of tractors and trailers
• Must be able to stand, bend, walk, and lift 50 lbs. for up to 10 hours per day, when necessary
• Must possess basic computer skills
• Must have the ability to communicate both verbally and in writing
• Must have the ability to listen to and understand complex written and oral instructions
• Must have the ability to read operating manuals and instructions
• Must have the ability to stay focused and maintain awareness of your surroundings
• Must demonstrate mechanical and technical aptitude
• Must have the ability to climb on and off trucks
• Must have the ability to grasp hand tools
• Must have the agility to move around a warehouse with several different sizes and types of steel
