Job Title: Service Mechanic
Established in 1987, Triad Metals International is a privately held, independent company that has grown to become one of the premier distributors of structural steel, tubing, piling, and plate products. We are looking to hire a Service Mechanic to join our team in Pittsburgh, PA!
Successful Candidates will be expected to:
• Inspect, repair, and maintain commercial vehicles and flatbed Trailers
• Adjust equipment to repair or replace defective parts
• Diagnose faults or malfunctions using testing equipment
• Replace steering systems, gearboxes, and braking systems, among other things including the mounting and dismounting of semi-tires
• Inspect and test the lighting systems and performance of commercial vehicles and flatbed trailers
• Carry out preventative maintenance on equipment
• Keep detailed records of all vehicles
• Maintain continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
Qualifications/Required Experience:
• A High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred
• Equipment Maintenance, Technical Understanding
• Basic Safety with power tools
• Attention to detail
• Must be able to stand, bend, walk, and lift 50 lbs. for up to 10 hours per day, when necessary
